Break the reconciliation yourself
Untick a line to drop it from the extract, as a careless conversion might. Watch the equation stop footing and the exception report explain why.
- 1
Extract
Every line is read from the PDF, scanned or digital, with a confidence score for each field.
- 2
Foot
Opening balance plus deposits less withdrawals must equal the closing balance printed on the statement.
- 3
Test
Duplicates, check number gaps and unexplained differences are listed as exceptions, never silently fixed.
- 4
Document
Export the reconciled lines and the exception report as support for your workpapers.

The tests you'd run by hand, run on every line
Read it like the tickmark legend at the foot of a workpaper. Each mark is a check PreciseBankFlow is built to perform before a statement is called reconciled.
- High-accuracy extraction
- Dates, descriptions, amounts and check numbers are read from digital and scanned PDFs, line by line.
- Opening and closing balance validation
- Each statement must foot: opening balance plus deposits less withdrawals equals the printed closing balance.
- Transaction reconciliation
- Match statement lines to your ledger or bank register and see which items clear, and which don't.
- Missing transaction detection
- Gaps in check sequences and unexplained differences point you to the line that should be there.
- Duplicate detection
- Same payee, same amount, close dates: possible duplicate charges are flagged for you to confirm.
- Confidence scores
- Every extracted field carries a score, so you know which lines to vouch to the source before relying on them.
- Exception reports
- Each difference, duplicate and gap is listed with its evidence, ready for review and sign-off.
- Audit-ready exports
- Excel and PDF workpapers with the reconciliation, the exceptions and the source lines that support them.

Questions auditors ask
Does PreciseBankFlow give an audit opinion?
No. It does the extraction, footing and exception testing so you can spend your time on the items that need judgment. The conclusions, and the sign-off, stay yours.
What happens when a statement doesn't foot?
It's marked out of balance, never adjusted to fit. The report shows the difference and, when one exists, the statement line whose amount matches it.
What does a confidence score mean?
It's how sure the extraction is about a field it read. Low scores usually come from poor scans or handwriting, and those lines are the ones to vouch to the PDF first.
Which statements work?
PreciseBankFlow reads the layout of the statement instead of relying on a list of banks, so most US checking, savings and credit card statements work, including scanned copies.
How is client data handled?
Statements are encrypted in transit and at rest, kept in the engagement they belong to, and you choose how long originals are retained.
Can I use it today?
